A Collage on the Brain

I don’t know if you know this but I work in IT –  for close to 20 years now.

I love working in IT.  I’m never bored and since I do Network Admin as well as PC Support, my days are never the same!

I am lucky that way.

But there is something that has bothered me for.ev.er about working on computers and it’s this:

I have wanted to make a computer parts collage since the very first time I saw the insides of a PC.   Every time I open one up to swap out a hard drive, power supply  or add more RAM, I want to violently rip it apart and collect all the goodies!

Well, the time has finally  come.  I got my tools, got a few junk pc’s (as well as my bosses permission) and I have started, finally started my computer parts collage!

It’s not like we don’t have a lot to choose from, we have lots of old junk.  I need to get rid of it, but I do use it for parts when necessary.

Most of these boxes are so old, there is nothing good in them, except ART!

See, there is color and form and design and structure…

colorful wires

And see the letters!  Gonna use some of those too.

So much good material really!

I plan on making the “chain” to hang it up out of Ethernet cable!

When I opened up the keyboards, it was like Christmas!

corner stuff

Nothing is glued or put together yet, I am still in the collecting, and playing stage!

so far

I’m hoping when I get this one done that I will get it out of my system!

I will show you as soon as its finished!

Okay, back to work!
