Whew, that was fun. I’m relaxed and thought I would share today’s pics with you.
Started out my morning with a walk along the beach. I know! We headed to the Biltmore! I just had to go see it, I have always loved that hotel.
So I got all dolled up… ah hem, in my old tennies and tired old yoga pants you have seen too many times!
And headed out.
We headed south, past the volley ball nets:
Which later are packed. Then past the most beautiful bird sanctuary.
Up and around to this bike path:
And then we came out to this:
A dog in the water… and…
A baby seal!
This pup was so lost!
I ended up calling the humane society and reporting it. There seems to be lots of these seals, this age, coming up on the beach. They are actually weaned, but for some reason, are lost! So I left my name and number & where the pup was located. Good luck little one!
Then we went across the street and walked around the Biltmore a bit. I took a ton of pics, but I won’t bombard you with them all. Just a couple.
Because now the sun is out!
I think I like mosaic almost as much as I like collage, but not quite.
It is everywhere here! I have some pots at home I will show you sometime.
After the walk and breakfast, we hit up the Art Walk along the beach.
Lots of pottery, jewelers and painting. Very cool stuff. And the weather was divine!
I wanted to get one of these for Easter, but I ended up getting a small painting for my girl. I will show you next week.
These are not beaded necklaces, they are made of silk!
Solar powered humming birds! Cute!
And so much beautiful pottery. For kicks I asked the artist how much for 4 salad plates, 4 bowls, 4 cups and 4 saucers. Just a little over 200.00. Ouch.
Unless you buy these cheaper ones, but I didn’t buy any. Ah hem.. (taxes, remember?) Okay, so I didn’t totally forget my real life!
Look at these vibrant beauties! See the wharf back there?
We were on the road soon after and the traffic was incredible. I have never been to Santa Barbara and not gotten stuck in traffic on Sunday going South! Where is everybody?
I am back to the grind and doing my laundry now. But it doesn’t feel so horrible for some odd reason!
