Last weekend while my kid was in a Golf clinic, I went to Big Lots for my laundry soap and other household items
(So exciting, I know)!
The Goodwill is close by so I stopped in and bought a couple of things, I spent less thank $10.00 on stuff.
Best find is this Finance Journal.
I have heard of her before and I thought it might be time to revisit my budget.
Let me just say that I’m so over Suze Orman, Gail Vaz-Oxlade and that other guy!
I’m actually over all the financial “experts”.
I’m burned out on that whole subject. Thankfully, I’m getting myself out of debt through the tuff Chapter 13 decision that I made.
Maybe that is why I can take a break from all their advice.
However, I need to stay aware and conscious so I think its important to revisit my budget. This great little journal will help me do that!
Plus, it was only .99 cents! Woo Hoo! I also never want to be in this position again!
I’ll to start with this exercise:
This exercise is needed to take a REAL look at my numbers and create a good budget to live within.
Its harder and harder because of golf costs. Killing me!
Something I’ve been thinking a lot about is retirement, relatively speaking, its not that far off!
It’s a scary thought!
IS THAT RIGHT? $1208.00 A MONTH? SUPER SCARY!
One of the chapters is Optimism. Hmmmm… that is easier said than done!
And there is a chapter on Resilience. No comment! 😉
I think the most important is Put it in Perspective. I mean, if you can’t change your situation, change your perspective right!?!
Here is a link to Jean Chatzky’s website. I’m not sick of her!
Have a great day!
