Is It July Yet?

I think this morning is great time to catch up and share some things happening around here.  I know I haven’t been blogging much but it really is about trying to speed up the BK process a bit.

April just dragged on and on, and when I took a break in May, things did speed up and are still going by much more quickly.  So I am staying on this trend for a bit!

I have been spending my weekends golfing and just sometimes spectating when my daughter golfs.

Last weekend we both golfed.

Then on  the way home we stopped at a local airport for lunch.  I was great!

We will definitely do that again.

I’ve been hit with lots of unexpected expenses.  Take a look at these babies, I would say I got my money’s worth.

I could not believe those shoes when I noticed the soles.  I was glad I had the sandals at work to wear that day.

In other news…Last week I was at the grocery store when I got a call from my kid that her key wasn’t working in the front door.  So when I got home I tried my key and it didn’t work as well, the tumblers felt really messed up.

While I waited for the locksmith I enjoyed a chilled white that I had just purchased.  I went and borrowed an opener and some glasses from the neighbor.

That was pleasant.

What wasn’t pleasant was the cost to have the locksmith let me in.  He could not pick it so he had to drill it!  Big deal right?  He reamed me $249.00!  It was highway robbery, but I had to pay it.  I had to go to the store to get another lock and it fit perfectly.  At least that was cheap and my kids dad installed it.

Ah life. Thank god for wine and golf!

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.

  1. Hi Debtgirl, well in my corner of the world my second vehicle – an old little pickup broke down – my son and his friend had to push it off the road and call towing. We paid 80 bucks to get it looked at and heard it would cost a thousand to fix. We decided to let it go and be just a one car family. I feel so sad because I’m embarrassed to admit I loved that truck. It was so fun and useful. Life changes though doesn’t it.

  2. Hi Kiki, it’s not embarrassing to love a vehicle, we all have at one time or another for all kinds of reasons! They are such a big part of our lives. Life can change on a dime, I am just holding my breath to see what’s next! We got this, we can handle it!!!! Xoxo

  3. Life has been busy! I am exhausted.

I am going to try this golf thing! It sounds like a nice way to unwind.

    • Hi there!!!! So happy to see you! I hope it is a happy busy for you!

There is nothing better than golf and the courses! So freaking nice!!!!
